Moreover, we invite participants to send us research projects or ideas. The Awards for Excellence is open to a vast range of professionals and institutions operating in the domain of town and country planning:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Architecture \/ town planning \/ engineering companies,<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cities (public administrations \/ urban development agencies),<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Universities\u2019 departments \/ research centres<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Communities<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Freelancers, NGOs.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The IAE is looking for the following topics to be addressed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Town \/ Country Development<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Urban Regeneration<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Mobility and Accessibility<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Urban \/ Metropolitan Ecology \/ Agriculture<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Temporary \/ Transitional Uses<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Brownfield Development \/ Regeneration<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Social Innovation \/ Inclusive Planning Processes<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Urban Planning and Employment<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Disaster Risk Reduction<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Low \/ Neutral Carbon Development<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Smart Communities.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In assessing your candidature, we will pay attention on how the following critical elements for planning are addressed in your proposal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Public space valorisation \/ definition \/ role<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Sustainability (processes, projects)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Resilience (resources, energy efficiency, etc.)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Innovation<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Learning planning processes<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Alignment between planning strategies and contextual socio-economic problems<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Regeneration.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will accept and evaluate different tools used in planners\u2019 daily practice: normative plans, strategic plans, urban projects, programmes, policies, research works, software, smart tools facilitating planners, etc. Since the town planners\u2019 \u201cbox of tools\u201d is rich in content, we invite you to candidate your work.
