ISOCARP AWARDS 2017<\/h2>\n

The ISOCARP Awards for Excellence are conferred in recognition of exceptionally innovative urban and regional initiatives. These Awards were created in 2005 as the highest honour that the International Society of City and Regional Planners can award to a city, region or an institution.
\nThe Gerd Albers Award was established in 1999 in honour of Professor Gerd Albers, a Co-founder and past President of the Society.
\nThe Student Award was introduced in 2016.<\/p>\n

ISOCARP AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE 2017<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\n<\/strong>The ISOCARP AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE<\/strong> (IAE) rewards plans in design phase as well as projects in progress or already implemented. Moreover, we invite you to send us research projects or ideas. The Awards for Excellence are open to a vast range of professionals and institutions operating in the domain of town and country planning:
\n\u2022 Architecture \/ town planning \/ engineering companies
\n\u2022 Cities (public administrations \/ urban development agencies)
\n\u2022 Universities\u2019 departments \/ research centres
\n\u2022 Communities
\n\u2022 Freelancers, NGOs.<\/p>\n

The IAE is looking for the following topics to be addressed:
\n\u2022 Town \/ Country Development
\n\u2022 Urban Regeneration
\n\u2022 Mobility and Accessibility
\n\u2022 Urban \/ Metropolitan Ecology \/ Agriculture

GERD ALBERS AWARD<\/h3>\n

\nThe Gerd Albers Award was established in 1999 in honour of Professor Gerd Albers, a Co-founder and past President of the Society, who has always emphasized the importance of good publications as a means to further the aims of the Society. The award is given annually, along with a two years of free membership.<\/p>\n

Eligible entries:<\/strong> Publications by ISOCARP members, published in 2017 (you can deliver publications issued from August 2016 to the deadline of the award). The definition of \u201cpublications\u201d includes (1) books, chapters in books, (2) journal articles, and (3) project reports if they have been published.<\/p>\n

STUDENT AWARD<\/h3>\n

This year ISOCARP is granting this award dedicated to the future generation of planners for the second time.
\nThe award is addressed to a student or student-group with outstanding results (undergraduate-bachelor, graduate-master) in a related field to urban and regional planning. We accept and evaluate final design projects, dissertations, studio projects, etc.<\/p>\n
